Monkey ("the App") lets you record your dreams and provides interpretations grounded in traditional Korean dream reading. This policy explains what information the App processes and how.
1. Information processed
Dream content (text/voice): what you type or speak. Speech is converted to text on your device.
Sent for interpretation: your dream text is sent, via the App's server, to OpenAI (a third-party AI service) to generate an interpretation. Only the dream text and content needed for interpretation are sent; no personal identifiers (name, contacts, etc.) are transmitted.
Optional profile: any nickname you enter is stored only on your device and is not sent to any server.
2. Storage & retention
Dream records, interpretations, and statistics are stored only on your device (local database).
The App has no user accounts and does not store your dreams on any remote server.
You can delete individual records in the App; uninstalling the App deletes all locally stored data.
3. Permissions
Microphone: used only while you record a dream by voice. Audio recordings are not stored — only recognized text is used.
Internet: used to communicate with the server and OpenAI to generate interpretations.
4. Third parties
Dream text is sent to OpenAI for interpretation, subject to OpenAI's policies.
No data is shared with third parties for advertising, analytics, or tracking.
5. Advertising & tracking
The App uses no advertising SDKs and no user tracking (e.g., advertising IDs).
6. Children
The App is not directed at children.
7. Disclaimer
Interpretations and "luck" content are for reference and entertainment, grounded in tradition, and are not predictions of the future.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated; changes will be posted on this page.
